Spectroradiometers
PSI offers a variety of spectrometers to suit a range of applications. The two most common types are the SP-2C: a compact and fast spectrometer for chromaticity measurement; and the SP-1R: a research-grade double-monochromator system.
| SP-2C Real-time Spectroradiometer |
The SP-2C is a compact and fast spectroradiometer, which is primarily designed for real-time chromaticity measurement. It features a single diffraction grating and CCD array arrangement, so that the entire spectrum is acquired in a single scan of the CCD array. Because the entrance slit, alignment optics, grating and CCD array are all in fixed positions, there are no moving parts and no further wavelength calibrations are required once it leaves the factory.
After the SP-2C has acquired a spectrum, it is displayed on the screen along with the chromaticity coordinates and (if appropriate) the colour temperature of the source. Integration times can vary from 4ms up to one minute. For bright light sources, the chromaticity coordinates can be updated on the screen more than 20 times per second. The spectra can be logged over time, making the SP-2C a very handy research tool for monitoring the change in colour of a sample over time.
| SP-1R Research Grade Spectrometer |
The SP-1R is a quality, research-grade spectrometer. It features:
- Dual monochromator chambers;
- Motorised entrance and exit slits;
- Detectors for UV, Vis and IR applications;
- Rugged optical bench mounting arrangement;
- Motorised order-sorting filter wheel.
Accessories are available to facilitate the measurement of spectral reflectance, transmittance and absorption.
